Use & care
Rinse the parts and backwash the new filter at least five times before first use. Fill and close the gravity bag, connect the hose and release trapped air as shown in the manual. Keep the outlet and clean-water container free from contamination.
Backwash at least twice daily during use. Follow the separate long-term storage guide when storing a used filter. Do not use for brackish water or seawater, and protect the filter from freezing and excessive heat.

Does the kit need a pump or electricity?
No. The one-gallon bag feeds water through the connected Flex filter using gravity.
How do the two filter stages differ?
The membrane targets bacteria, parasites and microplastics. The activated-carbon/ion-exchange stage reduces lead and chlorine and improves taste. Read the linked performance sheet for the tested contaminants.
How long do the filters last?
The membrane is rated for up to 2,000 liters. The carbon stage is rated for up to 100 liters, or about two months of regular use. Actual service life varies with water quality and maintenance.
How do I prepare it for its first use?
Rinse the components with clean water, then backwash the filter with the included syringe at least five times. Follow the gravity-bag assembly steps in the manual.
